Thank You for your Investment in BMW’s Future

Just five weeks ago Tara, Michele and Dorothy pooled their resources to offer a challenge to BMW supporters. They would match every dollar—up to $15,000—donated to BMW for a study to develop a first-ever model projecting annual post-release population effects directly due to rehabilitation facilities. You accepted the challenge and exceeded it, donating $16,773. When combined with the matching funds there will be $31,733 to begin this important study. Thank you to everyone who has made an investment in BMW’s future.

If you didn’t have an opportunity to donate to the Raptor Study Fund, you can still  have a huge impact on BMW’s ability to care for wildlife by donating to the X-ray Machine Fund. BMW’s x-ray machine was mortally wounded during a thunderstorm/lightening strike last week. The two most important pieces of equipment in the clinic are the x-ray machine and the anesthetic machine. Together, they allow us to minimize stress while thoroughly examining our patients.

2020 in Review

Worldwide pandemic aside, every year at the rehab center is different. This year 100 patients were admitted between January 1 and May 1. There were 91 admissions in May and 45 admissions the first week of June. We are incredibly busy! A lack of interns due to COVID-19 means very long days.
