Thank You & Goodbye

Tina & Tricia

Last week we said goodbye to intern Tina and wished her well as she prepares to return to school at Yale. Tina worked very hard for more than two months caring for injured birds and feeding countless babies.

Welcome Back Adrian

Adrian interned at BMW in April and May. She graciously agreed to to come back and help this past weekend. Below, she and Tricia are treating a young Swainson’s Hawk. Tricia, my niece, has been helping out for the past few months. It is wonderful having such great help.

A hawk was found near College Place, WA unable to fly. It has a significant head tilt due to a head injury. Radiographs revealed the hawk had been shot. We will have to wait and see if the hawk can recover with supportive care.
