The Week in Review

Winter in April

Volunteer Missy summed it up: due to supply chain issues we are now getting the snow that was due in February! The above photo was taken on Tuesday. Today (Sunday) it looks like spring!

Nestling Western Screech Owl 22-103

Nestling Screech

This little guy was found on the ground. His injuries appear to be minor. Hopefully we can get him reunited with his family.

Osprey 22-104

Osprey

We don’t know how the Osprey injured her wing, but there was a long “J” shaped laceration on the underside. The wound has been closed and the wing wrapped in hopes that she will not pull out the sutures.

Volunteer Meeting On April 30 at Noon

Don’t miss the Volunteer meeting on April 30 at McNary Wildlife Refuge in Burbank.  We will meet outside on the lawn. Lunch will be provided. There will be information and supplies in preparation for the busiest time of year. I hope to see you there!
