The week started with two releases!
The Anna’s Hummingbird was released in Roger and Ginger Shoemake’s yard where there are four other hummingbirds visiting their feeder. Roger captured the moment! You have to look closely. The hummingbird is just leaving the plastic tub.
Don and Toni Faust released a Great Horned Owl in Burbank. Toni sent this awesome picture.
The week ended with birds coming from everywhere!
A Bald Eagle from Ellensburg with a dislocated shoulder.
An Osprey from Horn Rapids Park in West Richland (he must have forgotten to migrate!) with a dislocated shoulder and pelvis issues. After two days he is able to stand.
There was also a Barn Owl from Connell with a shoulder injury, a Western Screech Owl from Pendleton with a head injury who died within a few hours of admission, and a Merlin from Enterprise with a broken wing.
Wishing All A Very Happy Thanksgiving
