Goodbye 2015
We are ending 2015 the same way it started: busier than usual. This week brought 6 new admissions: 4 Western Screech Owls, a Red-tailed Hawk and a Barn Owl for a total of 946 admissions to date. The little Western Screech Owl below is one of the lucky ones who is making a full recovery after colliding with a car.

Twas the week before Christmas and throughout the center it was cold and icy, because it was winter. Icicles hung on the eves everywhere, but then the fog lifted, the sun was so fair!

Winter Challenges: Cars, Windows, Weather and Guns
Winter continues to be a challenging time for wildlife. There were nine new admissions this past week: 3 Red-tailed Hawks, 3 Western Screech Owls, 2 Great Horned Owls and a Killdeer.
