Thank You So Much
My sincerest thanks to all who have sent words of condolence, love and encouragement this past week regarding Bob’s passing. Thank you also to everyone who has helped in so many ways. I am very grateful and deeply touched.

Red-tailed Hawk 20-561 Released
Kent Coe sent this photo of the hawk release at Ladd Marsh Wildlife Management Area. Harvey Neuber, Cilla Coe, and Steve Culley watched as Mike Daugherty released the bird. Last October the hawk was thought to have been hit by a car, fracturing her scapula. She was definitely ready to go on Friday! Thank you to the volunteers who transported the hawk to Ladd March for the release.
Pulling Yellow Star Thistle
Volunteers, including Loretta Hampton and my niece Tricia, spent two hours pulling yellow star thistle on Sunday, and barely made a dent. Yellow star is a very successful invasive species!
